Receiving and Stocking Donations
We receive orders from the Road Runner Food Bank on a weekly basis. As the food is received, volunteers are responsible for stocking the pantry shelves, and keeping our inventory organized.
In these difficult economic times we continue to see an increase in the number of families in our community that are in need of help. Each new client is required to complete an application form. And every year the information for our clients must also be updated.
Our Pantry is open three days a week. Volunteers help take clients' food orders, pack food boxes, and make sure our clients get the food they need.
Stocking and Inventory
As our inventory is depleted, orders are placed, and donations are received. Restocking our shelves is an ongoing project that seems to never end!
Filing paperwork, updating computer files, organizing and coordinating volunteers, ordering food, and annual reporting are just a few of the administrative tasks where you can provide assistance.
Cleaning and Maintenance
This is a very important project at the pantry. Sweeping, cleaning the bathrooms, sorting vegetables, defrosting the freezers, and cleaning the refrigerators are just a few of the tasks.
Donation Pickup and Delivery
Thanks to the generosity of many local businesses, we are often called to pick up food and deliver it to the pantry.
